About the Exhibition.
The core of FRATERNITY · FRANCIS is a unique centerpiece: the sculpture of Pope Francis's hand, cast in bronze from his real hand, captured at his residence in Santa Marta in 2019. This masterpiece, created by Argentine artist Gustavo Masó—who has maintained a long-standing friendship with the Holy Father—stands as an eternal gesture of fraternity and hope. From the palm emerges a delicate olive shoot, a universal symbol of peace.
Along with the central sculpture, 17 pictorial works also created by Masó are presented. Each work presented in this exhibition features the direct participation of Pope Francis, who has inspired, intervened, or personally contributed to the message conveyed by each piece. This exhibition is a unique opportunity to get closer to the pontiff through art, with works that not onlymove, but also call for deep reflection and commitment to the universal values that Pope Francis represents.
An encounter between art, spirituality, and humanity An unprecedented artistic proposal that unites contemporary art with the spirituality of Pope Francis, inviting a universal dialogue on peace, fraternity, and hope.
