FRATERNITY FRANCIS
A Sacred Work of Art from the Hand of Pope Francis
In 2019, in the heart of the Vatican, a rare moment of inspiration took place.
Pope Francis pressed his hand into a mold — a spiritual gesture that was later cast in bronze by Argentine artist Gustavo Masó, a close friend and partner in vision.
This is how FRATERNITY • FRANCIS was born — an extraordinary work of art that embodies a profound vision of fraternity, faith, and global peace.
Now unveiled to the world, the sculpture is destined to reside in private collections, museums, or institutions with a cultural and spiritual mission.
The sculpture, the work of Argentine artist Gustavo Masó — a close friend of the Pope for many years — was created in a rare and moving collaboration with His Holiness himself. This unprecedented gesture reflects a deep trust and a desire to convey a universal message that will not be forgotten.
Along with the central sculpture, 17 pictorial works also created by Masó are presented, portraying various gestures, moments, and symbols representative of Francis's pontificate.
Each work communicates an essential value: the culture of encounter, social justice, care for our common home, and peace.
Spirituality made art
Art as a universal language that communicates the human and spiritual message of Pope Francis, transcending linguistic and cultural barriers.
Cultural and religious gathering
